Including our advanced massage and dry needling techniques We also provide home visits for those unable to attend the clinic within the regional catchment area.
Medical Pedicure with Foot Health Practitioner
INFO: A medical podiatric pedicure is everything we provide in our podiatry appointment plus a lot, lot more including a pedicure. The medical pedicure is carried out using sterilised surgical instruments. This type of pedicure reduces the risk of fungal and bacterial infections.
Treatment includes an appraisal of medical history and a neurovascular review using a Doppler ultrasound. The podiatry treatment is then carried out followed by heated foot mitts to help increase circulation, leaving feet feeling, healthy and refreshed. To finish this treatment and intensive foot massage is carried out followed by nourishing cuticle oil and refreshing foot spray.
Please note that this does not include nail polish or cuticle work.
Reflexology Foot or Hand Massage
INFO: Reflexology massage is a form of health massage that uses different pressure points on the lower legs, feet, hands, face and/or ears that theoretically correspond with other areas on the body. This therapy is non-intrusive. Reflexologists prefer to work in conjunction with conventional health care professionals to improve their clients’ overall health.
Podiatry
INFO: Podiatry (or chiropody) treatment involves the cutting of toe nails and removal of hard skin and callouses which includes a relaxing foot bath and gentle moisturising of the skin. The feet are left feeling soft, refreshed and hygienically clean.
This treatment is for all age groups and can be carried out for people with difficult to cut, hard, thickened nails or someone who simply needs general maintenance of healthy nails and skin.
Bruised Nail Treatment
INFO: Bruised Nail injuries are commonly caused by crushing or laceration with a sharp object. These injuries can involve displacement of the nail/nail bed. Occasionally there may be an accumulation of blood under the nail (subungual haematoma) which would need to be drained.
Nail Surgery may require to repair the wound or remove the Bruised Nail.
Diabetic Medical Pedicure
INFO: Humisio Medical Our experienced, Podiatrists are expertly trained in caring for the diabetic foot. Living with Diabetes requires you to give special attention to your feet, and can affect the quality and integrity of your skin and nails.
Fungal Nail Treatment
INFO: Fungal infection most common in nail conditions. The infection develops slowly and causes the nail to become discolored, thickened and distorted. Toenails are more frequently affected than the fingernails.
The medical name for a fungal nail infection is onychomycosis.
Surgery may be recommended if your toenail or fingernail doesn’t improve. Depending on the severity of your symptoms, this may involve removing part or all of your nail.

Thickened and Overgrown Nails

Sometimes, the toenails become so overgrown and thickened and are difficult to cut with conventional nail clippers.
This nail disorder, known as onychauxis Nail (Thicken Nails) , is seen in older people or as a response to long-term pressure on the nails or a fungal nail infection and damaged.
Surgery may be recommended if your toenail doesn’t improve from conventional nail cutting and Depending on the severity of your symptoms.
